meet our pastor

Curtis Wilson

Pastor Curtis serves as the Lead Pastor of Providence Church with a deep conviction that the local church should burn with holy fire and stand firmly on the Word of God.


He is passionate about preaching Scripture clearly, strengthening families, raising up leaders, and contending in prayer for the Delta Region.


His desire is to see believers grounded in truth, filled with the Spirit, and equipped to live boldly for Christ in everyday life.


Pastor Curtis and his family are honored to serve the people of Lake Providence and the surrounding communities.

Casey Clark

Children’s Ministry Leader

Casey is originally from Missouri and now lives in Oak Grove with her husband Ronny and their two children, Elizabeth and Gabe. She enjoys crocheting, reading, and going on adventures with her family. Casey gave her life to Christ at 14, but at 27 experienced a life-changing surrender that made Jesus her everything. She loves serving by teaching God’s Word and watching children grow in both life and faith. At Providence, she leads the Children’s Ministry, teaches classes, leads children’s church, and directs VBS. She is passionate about equipping and discipling the next generation.

 Jonathan Taylor

Worship Leader / Youth Pastor

Jonathan Taylor lives in Lake Providence and is originally from Oak Grove. He and his wife, Katie, have three daughters—Peyton, Mercy, and Victory—and he enjoys spending time with his family and songwriting. He came to faith at 17 after a series of events and friendships led him to encounter the Lord in his bedroom. Jonathan loves meeting people where they are and helping lighten their load. At Providence Church, he leads worship, serves the leadership, and communicates the gospel. He is passionate about family, faith, and helping others grow.

Favorite Verse: Romans 5:1
Fun Fact: He loves just about anything made with peanut butter.

Jeani M. Townsend

Jeani M. Townsend

Jeani Townsend was born and raised in Oak Grove and has a deep love for reading and studying God’s Word. She came to know the Lord personally in October of 1995 after being raised in church. At Providence Church, she serves through intercession, encouragement, and faithfully meeting the needs of the house. She is passionate about seeing people set free and walking in the fullness of God’s glory.

Favorite Verse: Psalm 37:3–4

Don Boyett

Pastor Emeritus

Don Boyett is the founder of Providence Church and has faithfully served the Lake Providence community for many years. He and his wife, Linda, raised their three children here and continue to call this place home.

Though officially retired, Bro. Don remains an active and vital part of the church family. He spends his days encouraging others, caring for people, writing the church’s weekly newsletter, and faithfully representing Christ in the community.

He not only helped shape the heart behind our motto, “You Are Loved,” but lives a life that reflects it daily.

Catie Travis

Secretary / Bookkeeper

Catie is originally from Missouri and moved to Louisiana in 2007; she is married to Beau and they have four children—Rylee, Isabella, Emma, and Trace. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially on beach trips or floating the Buffalo River. Catie came to faith through the influence of her God-fearing grandmother, and after a season away, she and her husband felt led to return to the Lord and re-center their family on Him. She loves serving by being part of what God is doing and giving back to the church. At Providence, she serves as secretary and bookkeeper and is also part of the worship team. She is passionate about planting seeds of faith in her children just as her grandmother did for her. Her favorite verse is Matthew 6:34. A fun fact—she’s a self-proclaimed baby whisperer.

Ronny Clark Jr.

Media Director

Ronny lives in Oak Grove and is married to Casey, with two children, Elizabeth and Gabriel. He enjoys working on vehicles, spending time with family, sharing the gospel, and preaching. Ronny came to faith at eight years old, and his commitment has remained strong ever since. He loves serving by using music and digital media to enhance the worship experience. At Providence, he oversees the media department. He is passionate about seeing people come to know Jesus. His favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10. A fun fact—he says he doesn’t look like he belongs in media.

Pam King

Nursery Director

Pam lives in Lake Providence and is married to Clay, with children Kelly and Jeffery and four grandchildren—Addison, Rayleigh, Oliver, and Audree. She enjoys painting, gardening, and doing crafts. Pam came to faith at a Providence Church event called Team Impact. She loves serving because of her heart for kids, and at Providence she leads in the nursery on Sundays and serves young youth on Wednesdays. She is passionate about cheering on her grandchildren in sports. Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13. A fun fact—she can write backwards.

Katie Taylor

Youth Leader

Katie lives in Lake Providence and is married to Jonathan, with three daughters—Peyton, Mercy, and Victory. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing sports, running, and staying active. Katie came to faith through her mother’s prayers and a powerful personal encounter with God that changed her life. She loves serving because it reveals different aspects of who God is, and at Providence she pours into teenagers while also serving in the nursery. She is passionate about God’s Word, prayer, discipling her daughters, and living a strong, disciplined life. Her current favorite verse is Matthew 11:27. A fun fact—she regularly asks to join the worship team… even though her husband is the worship leader.

Ann Brock

Prayer Leader

Ann Brock lives in Lake Providence and is originally from West Carroll. She and her husband, Larry, enjoy spending time together and preparing and leading prayer gatherings.

She came to faith as a young teenager through Sunday school, GA’s, and the influence of her parents. Ann loves seeing others grow in their understanding of who God is and walking that out in their daily lives.

At Providence Church, she leads prayer events and helps train and equip others in prayer. She is passionate about knowing God more deeply and helping others do the same.

Favorite Verse: Colossians

Fun Fact: She is a great-grandmother.
